Book Talk Review; Crash

Crash By Nicole Williams is a romance between two headstrong stubborn people who both have tempers... Is it a tragedy in the making?

In this first book in the New York Times bestselling Crash trilogy, the world is introduced to this generation's Romeo and Juliet: Jude Ryder and Lucy Larson—Explosive. Sizzling. Tragic.
A steamy summer encounter with bad boy Jude means trouble for Lucy. Her sights are set on becoming a ballerina, and she won't let anything get in her way . . . except Jude.
He's got a rap sheet, dangerous mood swings, and a name that's been sighed, shouted, and cursed by who knows how many girls.
Jude's a cancer, the kind of guy who's fated to ruin the lives of girls like Lucy—and he tells her so.
But as rumors run rampant and reputations are destroyed, Lucy's not listening to Jude's warning. Is tragedy waiting in the wings? This racy romance is hot, hot, hot!

From The Back Cover

Fickle. Explosive. A hazard to girls everywhere. Lucy Larson, meet Jude Ryder.
Being the new kid is the last thing Lucy wanted for her senior year, especially after her hot encounter with Southpointe's bad boy Jude Ryder has her labeled a slut on her first day. But her sights are set on becoming a ballerina, and she won't let anything get in her way. Until she stumbles into Jude again.
Jude's got a rap sheet—an actual rap sheet—that runs longer than a senior thesis and moods that swing from delectable to dangerous. He's had his name sighed, shouted, and cursed by who knows how many girls. He's a cancer, the kind of guy who's fated to ruin the lives of girls like Lucy—and he tells her so. But as rumors run rampant and reputations are smeared in the mud, Lucy isn't listening to Jude's warning. Is tragedy waiting in the wings?

Lucy is a inspiring Ballerina in the making and works her but off to get what she wants- weather its dance, or saving a stray animal from the shelter- or falling in love with the ultimate bad boy, if she wants it she is sure as hell gonna make sure she gets it.

Jude is a bad boy in every sense of the word. Not only his he big and tough, he has a reputation, he is also a lost soul, the kind that Lucy can't help be attracted to and eventually love.

Both are kind of messed up and some how they make it work, they are both holding on to secrets that hinder them greatly.

It is those secrets that threaten to tear them apart.

When they first meet it is just a physical attraction thing that Lucy gets the hots for and decides to have a short summer fling with. But Jude warns her again and again that a small sweet innocent girl like him has nothing to do with a hard guy like him.

Tempers fly throughout this entire book and one thing leads to the other. At one point all is good, at the other it is all going downhill.

Through this web of lies and secrets and fuck-upedness they manage to fall in love...

Just when you think things are going to be okay, Nicole throws something else your way.

That is why I like this book so much, the unexpectedness of everything. You never know what obstacle is going to get in the way next or what is going to come out of either of their mouths.

The whole book was a surprise for me and while I have read the second book Clash I haven't read the third and final book in the Trilogy Crush... So tomorrow be on the look out for the Book Talk on Clash and whenever I get around to reading Crush (I have a TBR list that I hardly put a dent in because I keep adding more books) I will have a Book Talk for that as well.
