Release Blitz; Nothing Else Matters

Brand- new New Adult Rock Star Romance

from USA Today-Bestselling Author Blair Babylon!

The nail-biting conclusion to the Billionaires in Disguise: Georgie and Xan series

Nothing Else Matters

explores the depths of the heart and the healing power of love.

Release: October 27, 2015

Georgie broke up with Xan Valentine, the lead singer for the rock band Killer Valentine, the guy that Rolling Stone calls “sex incarnate.”
The magazine isn’t wrong, but they don’t know the half of it.
He’s the alpha-est male who ever walked onto a stage or into a bedroom and might be crazy, and Georgie is definitely in love with him.
Plus, he hired her ex-boyfriend, her first “real” boyfriend, to play in the band, and now she’s stuck between them.

So she tried to leave.
That’s what any sane girl would do.

And just as she feared, the Russian mafia kidnapped her.

She prays that Xan won’t try to rescue her because they said they’ll kill him. But she knows he will, even if it costs him everything.

Excerpt from Nothing Else Matters
Georgie pushed the door open and found Alexandre sitting on the bed, his good arm resting across his bent knees. He was wearing his jeans, but he had on a blue hospital gown instead of a shirt. His hair was escaping his ponytail, blond strands of it glinting in the fading sunlight streaming in the long windows. His hurt arm rested in his lap behind his knees.

He said, “Sorry about making you the fetch-and-carry girl.”

“It’s fine. I don’t mind.” Georgie pulled the drape that cordoned off the door to the private room and scooted onto the foot of his bed, careful not to jostle the mattress too much under her legs.

“Are you going to wear your jeans again?” he asked. His weak smile worried her. “It’s considered déclassé to not change into yet another designer outfit for the reception. Perhaps your black jeans?”

“I have a dress that Flicka brought for me,” she told him. “It’s red.”

“Too bad you don’t have that black dress with the silver chains from their civil wedding. It looked smashing on you.”

“And on your floor.”

“Indeed.” His smile grew a little warmer.

“Are you okay?” she asked.

He didn’t even glance at his hand, but his quiet voice was just slightly breathy. “I don’t think so.”

“Is there anything I can do?”

He shook his head, a slight movement from side to side, but his expression was still so calm.

“Are you sure that you want to go tonight? We don’t have to. We can just stay in Geneva tonight, if that would be better. I’d stay with you.”

“It wouldn’t matter. The surgery is scheduled for tomorrow because the best surgeon in Europe is flying in to do it. Going now wouldn’t change anything. A distraction might be welcome.”

“Well, then. Let’s get this party started,” Georgie said, bracing her arms on her knees to stand and get their clothes.

He lifted his wrapped arm from his lap where it had been hidden behind his legs and the long part of the hospital gown. Elastic bandages wrapped his forearm and hand down to his fingertips where the ends of a foam and silver splint stuck out of the beige cloth. “I don’t know how I’ll get clothes on over this.”

Georgie smiled, cocking her head and looking up from the corner of her eyes like she had been very smart. “I called the concierge at the hotel and got sewing supplies. I have scissors and a needle, and white thread for the shirt and black thread for the jacket. I can sew you into it. If they look closely, it might look like Frankenstein,” she admitted. “But if they don’t, the tux should cover most of that.”

A slow smile grew on his face while she spoke. He said, “That’s amazing.”

She patted his long, bare foot because it was closest to her. “It’s okay, man. I’ll just grab those garment bags.”

Georgie slid off the end of the bed and got the garment bags from Friedhelm, who looked entirely relaxed leaning against the wall, pleasantly hanging out with Paul, except that his brown eyes tracked everyone who moved in the long hospital hallway. He had a resting sweet face.

When she brought the bags back to Alexandre, he was already standing up and was shrugging off the cotton hospital gown, facing her. The cotton slid down his chest and dropped to the floor. She hoisted the bags up and hung them on the curtain track that ran near the ceiling. “Let’s get you dressed first,” she said. “You’ll wrinkle less.”

“You can wait outside,” he said. “I’ll just be a minute. Then we can sew me in.”

“Oh, come on. I’ll just help you button up the shirt.” He unbuttoned his jeans with his one hand and shoved them down his long legs. “I don’t need any help.”

“One last night, okay?”

“I beg your pardon?” he asked as he sat on the bed and yanked the denim off his foot with one hand.

“One last night. I’m going to Atlanta tomorrow. Let me help you.”

“I keep hearing that, but you never leave.”

“Now you’re daring me,” she said. He pulled the other leg of his jeans off his foot and threw them behind himself on the pillow. He wore blue boxer-briefs that hugged his slim hips and rode below the ripples of his abs. Red-gray bruises stained his skin on his ribs and thighs, mostly on his left side.

He said, “I am merely commenting on a trend. One that I like.”

“Well, I’m just saying that you should let me help you because this really is our last night,” she said, trying not to look at the bleeding under his skin. “Don’t push me away, even for a minute, even to just get dressed.”

“Then don’t go to Atlanta,” he said.

She ignored him because she ignored the people on the sidewalks of Southwestern State who hollered that little green men were following her, too. Indulging in fantasies was not something that the Ice Princess did.

She said, “Even now. Even just for a few minutes. Just pretend that I’m helping you so I can stay.”

He blinked, those lush eyelashes blinking over his dark eyes. “All right.”

“So we need to get ready for the reception,” she said.

He nodded, some of his blond hair slipping over his shoulder.

“Do you want to shower?” she asked.

He gestured to the splint and bandages on his left hand and shrugged his strong shoulder, pulling up the ripples of muscle along his torso.

Yeah, his splint and bandages shouldn’t get soggy.

“I can give you a sponge bath,” Georgie said. “Isn’t that what you’re supposed to do in hospitals?”

Book Talk Review; Dragonfly In Amber

Book Two of my newest obsession

With her now-classic novel Outlander, Diana Gabaldon introduced two unforgettable characters—Claire Randall and Jamie Fraser—delighting readers with a story of adventure and love that spanned two centuries. Now Gabaldon returns to that extraordinary time and place in this vivid, powerful follow-up to Outlander...

For twenty years Claire Randall has kept her secrets. But now she is returning with her grown daughter to Scotland’s majestic mist-shrouded hills.

Here Claire plans to reveal a truth as stunning as the events that gave it birth: about the mystery of an ancient circle of standing stones ... about a love that transcends the boundaries of time ... and about James Fraser, a Scottish warrior whose gallantry once drew a young Claire from the security of her century to the dangers of his....

Now a legacy of blood and desire will test her beautiful copper-haired daughter, Brianna, as Claire’s spellbinding journey of self-discovery continues in the intrigue-ridden Paris court of Charles Stuart ... in a race to thwart a doomed Highlands uprising ... and in a desperate fight to save both the child and the man she loves....

Holy Fuck. I loved this book so much.

Diana somehow made this book so much more than the last one was. I honestly don't know how she does it. She took everything from the first book and amplified it.

There is a lot of answers to questions in this book, there are more questions in this book. There are WTF moments, there are more sweet moments.

There is so much that goes on in this book. This book does not pick up where you expect it to, (No Spoilers) there are some twists and turns that I did not expect while reading this book, and my heart hurt so much and my head pounded so hard.

Jamie and Claire are exiled to Paris, where they single handily try to stop the Jacobite rebellion.

In the heart of the court of Charles Stuart, Jamie and Claire fight for themselves, for their family, and for all of Scotland.

We meet new characters and reminisce with some old friends. We face new dangers and explore new sides of Jamie and Claire's love.

Demons, new and old surface, causing great heartache for the pair. But as time has shown, there is nothing they can't do as long as they love each other.

Through it all this is the ultimate Love Story. What started as an accident of circumstance in Outlander, has turned into something strong and time-withstanding in Dragonfly In Amber.

I love Diana's writing, I love the world she created. I love Jamie, he's a character that I can find myself falling in love with time and time again. Every time I read an Outlander book, every time I read how fiercely and deeply he loves, I will find myself falling more and more in love with him. I can see why Clarie loves him so.

*Quote- "I hadn't taken Frank's gold band from my left hand when I married Jamie, but had worn Jamie's silver ring on the fourth finger of my right hand, for every day of the twenty-odd years since he put it there." -Claire (It's that's not love then I don't know what is)

"'Sassenach.' He had called me that from the first; the Gaelic word for an outlander, a stranger. An Englishman. First in jest, and then in affection." -Claire (Probably my favorite pet name)

"Healing comes form the healed; not from the physician." -Claire

"For you are mine. My wife, my heart, my soul." -Jamie

"I'm honest enough to say that I dinna care what the right and wrong of it may be, so long as you are here wi' me, Claire. If it was a sin for you to choose me...then I would go to the Devil himself and bless him for tempting ye to it." -Jamie

"I've spent more than twenty years looking for answers, Roger, and I can tell you only one thing: there aren't any answers, only choices. I've made a number of them myself, and no one can tell me whether they were right or wrong. Master Raymond perhaps, though I don't suppose he would; he was a man who believed in mysteries." -Claire

I'm super excited to share the cover of SNAP with all of you. This book has been a journey for me and I'm glad that I decided to take it on. Originally, this book was supposed to be a romantic suspense, but it took on a world of it's own going far deeper and growing bigger than I had planned. It became something far more. A story about adapting. A story about survival. I wasn't ready to write a trilogy or a series. You guys would've hated me had I split this book up. And I didn't want to do that to you. So be prepared for one hell of story when this book drops November 17th.

Author Bio

For as long as I can remember, I've loved to write, poetry, short stories just about anything. My English teachers in school kept telling me I should write and it took me a lot of years to finally get around to it.

I spent too long worrying about failing as a writer before I realized that living with the regret of never trying was worse.

I live in a sleepy country town in Tasmania, Australia with my partner and our three children, who aren't so little anymore, plus a whole assortment of animals.

Natasha's Awakening is my first book but I have no intention of stopping now and will continue to live my dream of being a published author. I have just published Taming Eric which is his POV to Natasha's Awakening.

My interests are writing of course, reading, watching movies and hanging out at home with my family, our six cats and one dog.

You can find me on Facebook under my author page J. A Melville and my book's page Natasha's Awakening.

My Review

Holy Shit. This book is hot.

Never in my life have I read a Ginger Voight book, but now I want to read them all. She's good at what she does.

There is angst, there is sex, there is drama, there is everything that you could want in a sexy book.

Coralie has it all, she's the heiress to one of the leading legacies in fashion. It's what she lives and breathes, but she doesn't feel accepted into that world.

When her best friend encourages her to take charge and live the fantasy she's always wanted, Coralie doesn't see what harm it could do.

Enter Devlin Masters. Devlin's job is simple, give Coralie what she's always wanted, and he's very good at his job.

Between the words she's always wanted to hear and the lingering desire between the two, Coralie has to remind herself that this is fantasy, not reality.

But one week changes everything.

Coralie has everything a good girl could want. But I can understand where she's coming from. I wouldn't want my life decided upon too. Though I have no idea if I'd do what she did.

Of course if the guy was Devlin Masters then hell yes.

As their desire and passion for each other grows, they have to decide if they're ready to change everything to make this fantasy a reality. Honestly, I'm still skeptical.

I'm all for instant connections and everything, and I loved reading this book, it's the perfect afternoon read with just enough drama to make it interesting and just enough sex to have you envious.

I really want to get my hands on the next book in the Saga because I can't wait to find out what happens when two worlds collide like never before. And this is what this book is for, it's to show two worlds colliding, to show two completely different people in new lights.

Devlin made me tear up at the end. I didn't cry, but I did tear up. Who knew ad boys could be so sweet?

I really can't wait until I'm am to get my hands on the next book and all of Ginger's other books. She's good at what she does.

*Quote- "I wasn't pretending to be someone else. I was me, but better. Beautiful, even." -Coralie

"Whenever you question yourself, thinking you're not the powerful, strong, sexy woman you are, I want you to think about this. About me. About us." -Devlin

"Dark red symbolizes unconscious beauty. And someone like you should have dark red roses delivered every day for the rest of your life." -Devlin

"All success really means is that you didn't give up until you got there." -Coralie

"From now on, I was going to choose happiness simply because I could." -Coralie

"Every breath. Every heartbeat. It's all for you. I can't lose you. I won't." -Devlin

Excerpts

Devlin shadowed me as I walked Gus and Lucy to the door. I stood waving after them long after they disappeared down the pathway into the darkness beyond. Devlin finally reached around me to close the front door with one hand, which ultimately backed me up against it. He leaned against it as he towered over me, so close that I could feel the heat from his incredible body. His gaze swept over me, as if peeling away every inch of my clothes with nothing more than a look, before it finally settled on my face.

My eyes met his. This was where it got complicated, and I knew it. We could spend the rest of our ‘talking’, but I hadn’t paid to talk. I could have had that with Oliver without paying one thin dime. I had wanted something more than that, and had for a long, long time. I knew it, and I suspected that Devlin knew it, too.

So what now? Did I take a green light for granted here, or what? Did I simply ask for sex? Or did wait for him to make a move? Did we talk about it, or just go at it like a couple of people might on a “real” date? The clock was ticking and I had absolutely no idea what to do next.

He answered my silent questions with a slow, confident smirk as he locked the door behind us with a resounding click. He leaned forward, his mouth so near to my skin I could feel his breath against me. My knees nearly gave way when he said, “Alone at last.”

***

“I think the lady told you to get lost,” a male voice said from behind. My head shot around to spot Devlin standing behind me, which made my heart soar despite itself.

The drunk’s grip on my wrist tightened. “Who are you?”

Devlin leaned over my shoulder to look him straight in the eye. “I’m the better offer, asshole. I’m also the guy who’s going to break your goddamned hand if you don’t let her go.”

Bill the Salesman finally withdrew his hand, holding it up like Devlin had drawn a gun. “No problems, buddy. You can have her.” He cashed out his ticket and stumbled along to the next victim who dared to play the slots by herself. I stood to face my savior.

“Thank you. That was getting a little hairy.”

His jaw clenched as he glanced over my dress. “What did you think was going to happen if you went out alone dressed like that?”

“Really? You’re going to chastise me for wearing a dress you picked?”

He cashed out my ticket, grabbed me by the arm and dragged me from the machine towards the elevator banks. “Guys like that don’t know how to take no for an answer. They’re dangerous when they’re drunk.”

“I was handling it,” I snapped.

“Yeah? Then why was his hand on your body?”

The elevator opened and he shoved me inside, and then hit the button for our floor. I couldn’t help but notice that he hadn’t released my arm.

“What are you doing here, Devlin?”

“I dropped off your dress,” he said without looking at me. “I was just leaving when I overheard that pig coming onto you.”

“Thanks for your help,” I muttered as I tried to pull away, but he gripped my arm even tighter. “Devlin.”

“Shut up,” he commanded softly. The doors opened and he pulled me down the hall to our suite. The minute the door shut behind us, he swung me up in into his arms and carried me to the bedroom.

“What are you doing?” I whispered.

He threw me on the bed. “Nobody gets to fuck you but me,” he announced before he tore off his shirt and crashed down on top of me.

About The Author

Ginger Voight is a screenwriter and bestselling author with over twenty published titles in fiction and nonfiction.
She covers everything from travel to politics in nonfiction, as well as romance, paranormal, and dark, “ripped from the headlines” topics like Dirty Little Secrets.

Ginger discovered her love for writing in sixth grade, courtesy of a Halloween assignment.
From then on, writing became a place of solace, reflection, and security.
This was never more true than when she found herself homeless in L.A. at the age of nineteen.
There, she wrote her first novel, longhand on notebook paper, while living out of her car.

In 1995, after she lost her nine-day-old son, she worked through her grief by writing the story that would eventually become The Fullerton Family Saga.

In 2011, she embarked on a new journey–to publish romance novels starring heroines who look more like the average American woman.
These “Rubenesque” romances have developed a following thanks to her bestselling Groupie series.
Other titles, such as the highly-rated New Adult series, Fierce, tap into the “reality-TV” preoccupation in American entertainment, which gives her contemporary stories a current, pop culture edge.

Known for writing gut-twisting angst, Ginger isn’t afraid to push the envelope with characters who are perfectly imperfect.
Whether rich, poor, sweet, selfish, gay, straight, plus-size or svelte, her characters are beautifully flawed and three-dimensional.
They populate her lavish fictional landscapes and teach us more about the real world in which we live simply through their interactions with each other. Ginger’s goal with every book is to give the reader a little bit more than they were expecting, told through stories they’ll never forget.

I lent my heart to the bad boy, and he did exactly what I expected he would. He broke it.

And the guy I should have been with—he’s still here.
He tries to take my mind off everything I’ve lost while showing me what I could have.
I’m ready for a new start, to fall in love again … to do what I should have done in the first place.

Everything seems perfect.

Then the past comes walking back in.
I thought I was over him, but one look and I know that’s not true.
We went through too much together for those feelings to completely fade away.

When my past and present collide, how am I supposed to choose?
They both love me, and I love them.

A heart will be broken … and it could be mine.

My Review

Holy shit.

Okay, since y'all don't get any spoilers from me, and I'm just going to ramble about how much I love this book, let me say this.

My Boy Got His Girl! Yes!

Okay, now that I said that, go read the book and find out who my boy is.

Lila and Blake and Pierce are back full force in this book. There are so many things that each character needs to work through.

There was one big emotion that I went through. It was heartbreak. Earth shattering heartbreak.

It wasn't even because there were sad times, of course there were some sad times, it was a fucking Lisa De Jong book.

Lila ended the last book in a place she never expected to be.

She met two men who stole her heart, in very different ways.

Blake is the bad boy, the one she shouldn't have fallen for. The one who destroys more than he mends.

Pierce is perfection, he won't hurt her. He's the one she should go for. He's safe. But is he too safe?

Lila's journey continues in this book, while in the beginning she pissed me off and I was worried for a while, I'm glad that the three of them got the story they deserved.

Lisa was messing with my heart so much in this book. I felt all the feels, cried all the tears.

My already broken heart broke more and more as I watched Lila go down paths I didn't want her to take.

There's no way to describe what this book did to me, for most of it I was a mess, my heart hurt when I read, my eyes leaked water. I said the F-word a lot when I read something I didn't want to and yelled at Lisa a lot.

By the time I got to 50% Monday afternoon I had to stop reading. I picked it back up Tuesday morning, there was just too much going on and I had to wrap my brain around it.

When I got to the part that I was dreading (Because I figured some dumb shit like that would happen, because why not?) I was sitting at the bus stop after class crying.

There were points where I hated this book, but not because it wasn't good, not becuase it wasn't tearing at my heartstrings. But because it was tearing at my heart. Because it was good.

Have you ever had a book that absolutely gutted you? That's what Love Unspoken did to me.

In the journey of life and love these characters had to learn how to live with love.

You can love and then you can live. You can even love while you live, but to be able to find that delicate balance is a difficult thing. And these flawed characters did that.

All three of these characters had flaws, some more than others. It wasn't always easy, and that was the point.

At one point Lila was in love with two men at the same time. At one point she loved one over the other. At one point she had to make a choice. At one point she had to live with the consequences. At one point she had to learn to live and love and be happy

Lila says a bunch of times that she just wants to be happy.

And after it is all said and done, she gets that. She gets her happy, but not without the heartbreak.

I am so excited to see what Lisa has in store for us next, I'm sure it's going to be another crazy roller-coaster ride. I better stock up on tissue.

Excerpt

“If I had come home sooner, would I have had a chance?” he asks, sinking down in the bed until we’re eye to eye. He knows he’s making it impossible for me to skirt around the truth.

Eyes don’t easily lie to eyes.

“Yes,” I whisper. “I waited for you. Until New York, it would have been you.”

His fingers come up, gently brushing a piece of hair from my forehead. “I really fucked up with you, didn’t I?”

“Neither of us was in the right place. It wasn’t our time.”

He moves closer, brushing his thumb against my cheek. My conscience whispers but the tequila screams. “When will it be our time?”

I think about Pierce. This weekend. Everything. “It may never come, or maybe, it’s already passed.”

“I’m going to fight for you,” he declares, propping himself up on his elbow to look down at me. “I thought I could let you go if I knew it would make you happy, but after sitting alone in this apartment all weekend while you were with him, I don’t think I can do that.”

I swallow hard. “And, if you don’t win?”

“I’ve already lost, so what do I have left to lose?”
And, he’s right. He’s already lost so much that the risk is minimal.

“Pierce trusts me,” I blurt, my palms sweating against the sheets.

He leans in, kissing my cheek. “He shouldn’t trust me, not when he has the one thing I want.”

“Blake?”

He slips out of my bed without looking back, carefully closing the bedroom
door behind him. He wanted the last word, and he got it.

Synopsis

It’s been almost a century since everything changed.

Nearly a century since Francesca lost everyone and everything that night.

Only one person knows, one man saw it all; her sire, her saviour.
He pulled her back from death and the brink of insanity.

Only one man truly knows her and Fabian promised he would never reveal the horrors of her past to anyone else.

She’s gone decades hiding her true self behind a mask of indifference; her clothes, her makeup like a costume so no one will see the real her.

It’s worked all these years until him…….

Lucas is the young man turned vampire by accident two years ago.
He is the vampire with a heart and soul.
He’s also an empath.
He can feel what others are feeling……..

Something about him triggers flashbacks to Francesca’s past and her sleep is plagued by horrific nightmares.

Her screams wake Lucas and he comes to her, soothing and comforting her. The trouble is Francesca doesn’t want his comfort, she doesn’t want anyone. Anyone she’s ever cared about has been lost to her.

She uses Lucas to help her forget.
Sex has always been her coping mechanism.
Use them for sex and move on, but something about Lucas keeps drawing her back to him.

The sex is explosive, passionate and intense.
The sex helps her forget her past, until afterwards when her resentment towards him makes her turn on him; punishing him physically and with cruel words.

He makes her feel and she doesn’t want to feel.
 She doesn’t want to remember.
She doesn’t want to feel anything for this man who has been the catalyst for those painful memories to resurface.

It’s unhealthy and dangerous, until one night something happens that changes everything.

Francesca’s past collides with her present and her already fragile state of mind is tested further.

Will it destroy them now everything has changed?

Exclusive Teaser

Check out this exclusive excerpt of Twenty-One (21) by Clarissa Wild!

My vocal cords are hoarse from the amount of screaming that I’ve done today.

For hours, I watch Angel getting tortured.

At first, I tried to look away, but the man forced me to look by turning my body toward Angel.
Seeing him tied up and at the mercy of some monster makes my insides churn.

I’m dying.
Not physically, but mentally … dying at the sight of Angel losing his will to live.

With every drop of his blood, more of his energy spills out along with his reason, his sole motivator to fight.

It was me.

All along, it was me.

He wanted me to live, and in his effort to save me, he sacrificed his own life.

I wish I could turn back time and tell him not to.
That I could stop him from even coming into the house and attempting to rescue me, just so I could spare him this pain.

I don’t want to see him hurt.
I don’t want to see him bleed to death.

I love him.

It’s not hard to admit when I witness the man carve a hole into his body right on top of his heart … the heart that belongs to me.

I am his and he is mine.

And now we’re set to die.
