My Review

Holy Shit. This book is hot.

Never in my life have I read a Ginger Voight book, but now I want to read them all. She's good at what she does.

There is angst, there is sex, there is drama, there is everything that you could want in a sexy book.

Coralie has it all, she's the heiress to one of the leading legacies in fashion. It's what she lives and breathes, but she doesn't feel accepted into that world.

When her best friend encourages her to take charge and live the fantasy she's always wanted, Coralie doesn't see what harm it could do.

Enter Devlin Masters. Devlin's job is simple, give Coralie what she's always wanted, and he's very good at his job.

Between the words she's always wanted to hear and the lingering desire between the two, Coralie has to remind herself that this is fantasy, not reality.

But one week changes everything.

Coralie has everything a good girl could want. But I can understand where she's coming from. I wouldn't want my life decided upon too. Though I have no idea if I'd do what she did.

Of course if the guy was Devlin Masters then hell yes.

As their desire and passion for each other grows, they have to decide if they're ready to change everything to make this fantasy a reality. Honestly, I'm still skeptical.

I'm all for instant connections and everything, and I loved reading this book, it's the perfect afternoon read with just enough drama to make it interesting and just enough sex to have you envious.

I really want to get my hands on the next book in the Saga because I can't wait to find out what happens when two worlds collide like never before. And this is what this book is for, it's to show two worlds colliding, to show two completely different people in new lights.

Devlin made me tear up at the end. I didn't cry, but I did tear up. Who knew ad boys could be so sweet?

I really can't wait until I'm am to get my hands on the next book and all of Ginger's other books. She's good at what she does.

*Quote- "I wasn't pretending to be someone else. I was me, but better. Beautiful, even." -Coralie

"Whenever you question yourself, thinking you're not the powerful, strong, sexy woman you are, I want you to think about this. About me. About us." -Devlin

"Dark red symbolizes unconscious beauty. And someone like you should have dark red roses delivered every day for the rest of your life." -Devlin

"All success really means is that you didn't give up until you got there." -Coralie

"From now on, I was going to choose happiness simply because I could." -Coralie

"Every breath. Every heartbeat. It's all for you. I can't lose you. I won't." -Devlin

Excerpts

Devlin shadowed me as I walked Gus and Lucy to the door. I stood waving after them long after they disappeared down the pathway into the darkness beyond. Devlin finally reached around me to close the front door with one hand, which ultimately backed me up against it. He leaned against it as he towered over me, so close that I could feel the heat from his incredible body. His gaze swept over me, as if peeling away every inch of my clothes with nothing more than a look, before it finally settled on my face.

My eyes met his. This was where it got complicated, and I knew it. We could spend the rest of our ‘talking’, but I hadn’t paid to talk. I could have had that with Oliver without paying one thin dime. I had wanted something more than that, and had for a long, long time. I knew it, and I suspected that Devlin knew it, too.

So what now? Did I take a green light for granted here, or what? Did I simply ask for sex? Or did wait for him to make a move? Did we talk about it, or just go at it like a couple of people might on a “real” date? The clock was ticking and I had absolutely no idea what to do next.

He answered my silent questions with a slow, confident smirk as he locked the door behind us with a resounding click. He leaned forward, his mouth so near to my skin I could feel his breath against me. My knees nearly gave way when he said, “Alone at last.”

“I think the lady told you to get lost,” a male voice said from behind. My head shot around to spot Devlin standing behind me, which made my heart soar despite itself.

The drunk’s grip on my wrist tightened. “Who are you?”

Devlin leaned over my shoulder to look him straight in the eye. “I’m the better offer, asshole. I’m also the guy who’s going to break your goddamned hand if you don’t let her go.”

Bill the Salesman finally withdrew his hand, holding it up like Devlin had drawn a gun. “No problems, buddy. You can have her.” He cashed out his ticket and stumbled along to the next victim who dared to play the slots by herself. I stood to face my savior.

“Thank you. That was getting a little hairy.”

His jaw clenched as he glanced over my dress. “What did you think was going to happen if you went out alone dressed like that?”

“Really? You’re going to chastise me for wearing a dress you picked?”

He cashed out my ticket, grabbed me by the arm and dragged me from the machine towards the elevator banks. “Guys like that don’t know how to take no for an answer. They’re dangerous when they’re drunk.”

“I was handling it,” I snapped.

“Yeah? Then why was his hand on your body?”

The elevator opened and he shoved me inside, and then hit the button for our floor. I couldn’t help but notice that he hadn’t released my arm.

“What are you doing here, Devlin?”

“I dropped off your dress,” he said without looking at me. “I was just leaving when I overheard that pig coming onto you.”

“Thanks for your help,” I muttered as I tried to pull away, but he gripped my arm even tighter. “Devlin.”

“Shut up,” he commanded softly. The doors opened and he pulled me down the hall to our suite. The minute the door shut behind us, he swung me up in into his arms and carried me to the bedroom.

“What are you doing?” I whispered.

He threw me on the bed. “Nobody gets to fuck you but me,” he announced before he tore off his shirt and crashed down on top of me.

About The Author

Ginger Voight is a screenwriter and bestselling author with over twenty published titles in fiction and nonfiction.
She covers everything from travel to politics in nonfiction, as well as romance, paranormal, and dark, “ripped from the headlines” topics like Dirty Little Secrets.

Ginger discovered her love for writing in sixth grade, courtesy of a Halloween assignment.
From then on, writing became a place of solace, reflection, and security.
This was never more true than when she found herself homeless in L.A. at the age of nineteen.
There, she wrote her first novel, longhand on notebook paper, while living out of her car.

In 1995, after she lost her nine-day-old son, she worked through her grief by writing the story that would eventually become The Fullerton Family Saga.

In 2011, she embarked on a new journey–to publish romance novels starring heroines who look more like the average American woman.
These “Rubenesque” romances have developed a following thanks to her bestselling Groupie series.
Other titles, such as the highly-rated New Adult series, Fierce, tap into the “reality-TV” preoccupation in American entertainment, which gives her contemporary stories a current, pop culture edge.

Known for writing gut-twisting angst, Ginger isn’t afraid to push the envelope with characters who are perfectly imperfect.
Whether rich, poor, sweet, selfish, gay, straight, plus-size or svelte, her characters are beautifully flawed and three-dimensional.
They populate her lavish fictional landscapes and teach us more about the real world in which we live simply through their interactions with each other. Ginger’s goal with every book is to give the reader a little bit more than they were expecting, told through stories they’ll never forget.
