Book Talk Review; Never Never

It's time for a book talk, on a book y'all will Never forget...

Best friends since they could walk.
In love since they were fourteen.
  Complete strangers since this morning.

  He'll do anything to remember.
  She'll do anything to forget.

#1 New York Times bestselling author of Hopeless joins forces with the New York Times bestselling author of Mud Vein. Together, they have created a gripping, romantic tale unlike any other.

"How odd to be made of flesh, balanced on bone, and filled with a soul you've never met."

Charlize Wynwood and Silas Nash have been best friends since they could walk. They've been in love since the age of fourteen.
But as of this morning...they are complete strangers.
Their first kiss, their first fight, the moment they fell in love...every memory has vanished.

"I don't care what our real first kiss was," he says. "That's the one I want to remember."

Charlize and Silas must work together to uncover the truth about what happened to them and why. But the more they learn about the couple they used to be...the more they question why they were ever together to begin with.

"I want to remember what it feels like to love someone like that. And not just anyone. I want to know what it feels like to love Charlie."

Never Never: A Novella Series, Part One.

This book is a complete mind fuck.

Charlie and Silas have no idea who they are, where they are, or what they are doing with each other. They have no memory what-so-ever of their pasts, their presents, or their futures.

This book grips you right from the beginning, I knew, based on the very vague blurb that was released when this book was first announced,  Best friends since they could walk. In love since they were fourteen. Complete strangers since this morning. He'll do anything to remember. She'll do anything to forget. That this book was going to fuck with me.

I mean it's a Tarryn Fisher book, she is the type of Author who likes to fuck with your mind, have you read the Love Me With Lies Series? And I'm assuming Mud Vein is the same way, written in her same twisted fashion, definitely going to have to get my hands on that.

Colleen is the type of Author who likes HEAs this isn't the type of book you expect from her, especially a cliffhanger.

But don't worry it's not a bad cliffhanger, but it is a cliffhanger. This book has to have a cliffhanger, it wouldn't work otherwise. There is so much information that goes into this book, it would have been way too rushed if it didn't end like it did. But that being said doesn't make the blow any easier to bear.

My heart was pounding in my chest, my hands were shaking, still shaking. My mind was completely blown, my expectations for its Epic-ness were blown away. I knew this book was going to be Epic, but I did not expect that. Seriously, y'all have to read it to understand it.

Charlie and Silas seem like the most unlikely couple, even if they can't remember the other, they start to show their true personalities under everything.

As we dig deeper into their lives it's interesting to see how they interact with one another. Their reactions are so genuine, even as they are as confused as the reader is. And how confused I was! This whole book I was thinking WTF? I wanted so badly to learn what was happening, and then, Colleen goes and writes that last chapter.

If you've read a Colleen or Tarryn book before, then you should be able to tell who wrote what. They each have a unique style. They have a unique voice that allows you to be clued in on who wrote what chapter, if you didn't already know (Colleen wrote Silas, Tarryn wrote Charlie)

There is nothing I can say without giving too much away, y'all already know too much, just by knowing they don't remember, it's better to just read the book and see for yourselves.

Can't wait for the second part!

*Quote- "Everything about her is captivating, like the aftermath of a storm. People aren't supposed to get pleasure out of the destruction Mother Nature is capable of, but we want to stare anyway. Charlie is he devastation left in the wake of a tornado" -Silas

"If you were a game, Silas, you'd be Monopoly. You just go on and on and everyone ends up cheating just to be over with it." -Charlie
