Book Talk Review; Point Of Retreat

The Second Book in The Slammed Series by Colleen Hoover

Sometimes two people have to fall apart to realize just how much they belong together.

Colleen Hoover entranced readers everywhere with her bestselling novel Slammed, the book that introduced Layken and Will, a young couple whose love overcame devastating hardships to emerge stronger and more resilient than before.

Now, as Layken and Will’s emotion-packed story continues, a stunning and unforeseen revelation about Will’s past leaves them questioning everything that they thought they knew about each other.

With the foundation of their relationship at risk, they must decide whether they are willing to fight for a future together, or to retreat back into solitude and heartache.

How far does Will have to go to prove to Layken his love for her will last forever?

It will require something truly extraordinary to keep this couple together, and the decisions they make and the answers they find will change not only their lives, but the lives of everyone around them.

This is the continuance of Will and Lake's Love Story.

Point Of Retreat is told from Will's POV, and we really get to see just what type of guy he is.

I thought that I wouldn't really cry that much- if at all when I read this. I was So wrong.

It's a Colleen Hoover Book, Of Course you are going To Cry, it just comes with reading a Colleen Book.

So Will and Lake have come to an bump in the road. They don't know how to fix it. Should they fix it? Is it fixable?

Slammed gave them their First Chance at love, Point Of Retreat focuses on if they get that Second Chance at Love.

They go through so many emotions in this book that it feel like they are going to explode from all the different feelings.

There are more Slams in this book, There are more heat felt moments, More awesome Quotes.

More Will Love. More Funny Moments with Kel and Caulder.

There is More Life in this Book.

 Butterfly.
What a beautiful word.
What a delicate creature.
Delicate like the cruel words that flow right out of
you mouths
and the food that flies right out of your hands...
Does it make you feel better?
Does it make you feel good?
Does picking on a girl make you more of a man?
I'm standing up for myself
Like I should have done before
I'm not putting up with your
Butterfly anymore.
I'd like to extend to others
what others have extended to me
Butterfly you, Mrs. Brill.
Butterfly you, Mark
Butterfly you, Brendan
Butterfly you, Colby.
I have something to say to you
I'm not referring to the bullies
Or the ones they pursue.
I'm referring to those of you who just stand by
Those who don't take up for those of us who cry
Those of you who just...turn a blind eye.
After all, it's not you it's happening to
You aren't the one being bullied
And you aren't the one being rude
It isn't your hand that's throwing the food
But...it is your mouth not speaking up
It is your feet not taking a stand
It is your arm not lending a hand
It is your heart
Not giving a damn.
So take up for yourself
Take up for your friends
I challenge you to be someone
Who doesn't give in.
Don't give in.
Don't let them win.
