Book Talk Review; Maybe Someday

We are at the end of our Colleen Hoover Feature. What better way to wrap it up than with her latest and Greatest?

 Maybe Someday

At twenty-two years old, Sydney has a great life: She's in college, working a steady job, in love with her wonderful boyfriend, Hunter, and rooming with her best friend, Tori.
But everything changes when she discovers Hunter's cheating on her--and she is left trying to decide what to do next.

Sydney becomes captivated by Ridge, her mysterious neighbor. She can't take her eyes off him or stop listening to the passionate way he plays his guitar every evening out on his balcony.
And there's something about Sydney that Ridge can't ignore, either. When their inevitable encounter happens, they soon find themselves needing each other in more ways than one...

And there's more! In the Book Sydney and Ridge write Lyrics together...

Well The Amazing Griffin Peterson Collaborated with Colleen and created an Original Soundtrack that Goes along with the Book!

You can purchase the Album on iTunes, Amazon, and Google Play

Or you can go to the website and listen to the songs free of charge.. But I highly suggest you buy them. Griffin is amazing!

  Now for the Book Talk:
Maybe Someday starts out with Sydney meeting Ridge for the first time.  After she catches her Best Friend cheating with her Boyfriend.

Prior to that Sydney and Ridge had only communicated through text messages. Ridge used to play his guitar out on his patio and he noticed that Sydney was sitting across the courtyard signing along to the songs he hadn't written lyrics to yet.
Ridge was in sort of a writers block and convinced Sydney to send him some lyrics. He liked them they were awesome.
He invites her up to his apartment after she has no where to go and  convinces her to stay. They become fast friends, Ridge convinces her to write lyrics with him for his band.
Eventually they start to incorporate their feelings for one and other in the song lyrics.

 Things turn messy fast.

I love this book so much! It is by far my favorite CoHo book! And that is saying something because I am in love with Dean Holder and the Hopeless Series. But Ridge Lawson takes the cake on that!

Maybe Someday is more than just a book. It is an experience. We get to not only read the lyrics that the characters write to each other but we get to listen to them. It is truly an amazing experience and everyone who hasn't read it yet needs to read it.

Sydney hopes for a 'Maybe Someday' with Ridge, until she learns about his girlfriend.

Yes Girlfriend, Ridge has a girlfriend. But before you go and think things about how you hate cheater books let me say this.

It is not a cheating book! Believe me I hate cheating as much as the next person. But it happens, and yes it does happen in books, I have read books that it has happened in. But Maybe Someday is NOT one of those books.

Yes, Ridge has a girlfriend, and yes, he does end up falling in love with Sydney, But That does not mean he cheats on his Girl.

He Loves his Girl, very much so and it is proven over and over again how much he loves her. And I really loved the Girlfriend.

I was actually torn between Maggie and Sydney at times.

I cried during this book, But y'all already knew that I was gonna say that. I say that just about every book I Review.

The Music, The Book, The Characters, The Feels, They are all amazing.

*Quote- "Desire is easy to fight. Especially when the only weapon desire possesses is attraction. It's not so easy when you're trying to win a war against the heart." -Sydney

"I'm convinced that people come across others in life whose souls are completely compatible with their own. Some refer to them as soul mates. Some refer to it as true love. SOme people believe their souls are compatible with more than one person, and I'm beginning to understand how true that might be." -Ridge

"Sometimes in life, we need a few bad days in order to keep the good ones in perspective." -Warren
