They say the only good thing about hitting rock bottom is that it can't get any worse . . .or can it?

World famous boxing champ, Felix Sanchez, had it all—the fame, the fortune, and all the women any man could ask for.
When the hours of partying followed by hours spent in court and in rehab begin to outnumber the hours he spends training, losing his title comes as no surprise to everyone.
The world assumes he deserved to lose it.

Only those closest to Felix know the real truth behind his sudden downward spiral.
And if Felix has his way, no one else ever will.
With an uncertain future ahead of him, he heads back to his roots—5th Street—the gym that started it all for him.
It's where he meets the humble but mighty little Ms. Ella.

The only times Felix had ever decided to forgo the usual meaningless fling and try a real relationship he was burned badly.
Now the adorable but tenacious self-defense instructor has him considering this love thing one more time.

Then just when he begins to worry that his past is letting his possessive and jaded heart get the best of him, he's blindsided in the most brutal way—he's brought to his knees—to what could be the one low in his life he may never recover from.

Excerpt

Felix figured the less time Adelina was there the less likely it was she might say something he didn't want Ella to hear.

Then she did just that.

"So do I get to see you later tonight?"

She smiled sinfully, in a way that could only be interpreted in one way--she didn't mean for business.

"Probably not," he said a little too loud, feeling his face heat up instantly.

He gave her a hard look, so she'd know what she'd just done was completely inappropriate and fucking unacceptable. God damn it!

He knew it was impossible to think Ella hadn't heard about every girl the tabloids had him hooked up with. But she didn't need firsthand proof of it.
He turned to Ella as Adelina walked away, almost afraid to see her expression.
"That was my publicist," he said, feeling a little stupid.

Ella looked up in Adelina's direction.
"Oh," she said with little to no interest but then added with a subtle but very telling lift her brow, "She's very pretty."

Review

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Elizabeth knows how to write her hot Alpha Males. I can't seem to stay away from them, not that I'd want to of course.

I'll admit. I wasn't so big on Felix before this book. But then of course I didn't really know much about him. While reading his book I grew very attached to him.

I can say that I did cry a few times in this book, because of the shit that Felix had to go through, it hurt my heart.

I loved Mighty little Ms. Ella, she's a girl who went through so much shit in her short life, yet she's still able to have strength and look towards the positive in life.

Felix and Ella are of course instantly attracted to each other. But can on of the worlds most famous young boxers actually have a relationship with the humble self-defense instructor?

Elizabeth did a fantastic job on this book. She made me fall in love with Felix just as hard as I love all the other 5th Street guys.

I think Felix might take the spot as my favorite 5th Street guy (Don't tell Noah)

The epilogue, like every single epilogue she writes, killed me. I loved being able to see all the guys and their families,  to see how much they evolved from boxers in training to amazing family men.

Elizabeth took us on the journey of 5th Street and it was a good ride, I'm happy I got to be apart of it. Of course who knows what she has up her sleeve next.

Felix and Ella are a special couple and all the shit they've been through before and after only makes them stronger. I loved there story, and I loved being able to get to know Felix and see what everyone else sees besides the famous boxer.

I applaud Elizabeth on this amazing book that I loved and can't wait to see what's coming next, because of course no matter what it is, I'm going to be happy to read it.

Quote

"Your scars are a symbol of your strength"

"He could try to fight the possessive instincts all he wanted, but he already knew it was how his heart felt and there'd be no changing that."

"To filling 5th Street with a new generation of fighters. And to Jack for starting all this and making us promise we'd always stay together like one big family." -Noah
