Book Talk Review; Sometimes It Lasts

Cage and Eva have two books...

Cage York has to choose between a love of the game and a love of the girl in this sultry Sea Breeze novel
Cage York finally has everything he ever wanted.

And Eva is at the very top of that list—the perfect girl with a temper as hot as her fabulously flawless body. But for Cage, a baseball scholarship has always been a close second. So when Cage finally gets his chance, he and Eva must endure a long distance relationship—and all the dangerous temptations that come with it. Temptations that former ad boy Cage York may not be able to escape.

Then after receiving some illicit photos that show Cage has been behaving badly—very badly—Eva finds solace in the comforting arms of her insanely attractive neighbor Jeremy, who vows that he will take care of Eva in ways Cage never could. It’s an offer that may be too good for Eva to turn down.

Torn between his baseball dream and the girl of this dreams, Cage must prove he’s worthy of Eva’s love, or risk losing her to Jeremy forever.
This book killed me, absolutely killed me. I wasn't expecting things to go down the way that they did in this book. Abbi took two of my favorite Sea Breeze characters and threw them to hell.

Cage finally gets that scholarship he's been dying for, but at what cost?

Eva wants Cage to have what he has always wanted, she doesn't want to stand in the way of his dreams, but she can't go with him.

When Eva and Cage find out the news that will tear her apart, Cage reluctantly goes off to school, leaving Eva behind to deal with her shattering heart.

When things get tense between Cage's new roommate and him, Eva gets caught in the middle.

Having Cage leave and having the shit piled down on top of her, one night can change everything.

Now with so much going on, Eva turns to her beloved friend Jeremy, who promises to protect her and give her what Cage never could, but none of them can predict what happens next.

When Cage finds his way back to Eva, his life is changed, again.

Getting her to trust him and fall back into his arms is hard, especially when she does everything she can to stay away and love Jeremy.

This book made me cry, Abbi took these characters on a hard life journey and it tore at my heart. I love Cage and Eva, and the time they were forced to spend apart in this book killed me.

Abbi has a knack at giving the best stories and Cage and Eva's is one that I love.

Who knew playboy Cage York would fall in love with country girl Eva Brooks.

Cage is a dirty talker, and that is something I never cared for much, but that of course all changed the second I met Cage York.

He's loyal, sweet, protective, and insecure, he's had a rough life and he know what he wants...Eva.

Tune in for The sixth book in the Sea Breeze Series Book Talk, on Misbehaving coming soon.

*Quote- "What we's always. She and I...We're always." -Cage

"We've been working on our always since you walked into my world with a cocky swagger and a smile."  -Eva
