Book Talk Review; Just For Now

The Fourth book in the Sea Breeze Series.

The sexy and irresistible Preston Drake comes to us in...

An insatiable attraction heats to the boiling point in this steamy book set in the shore town of Sea Breeze...

Preston is one bad boy, the day he figured out that wealthy women paid well for a set of tight abs and a pretty face his life turned around. He no longer worried about his family starving or living without electricity. The money he made entertaining rich older women more than covered his family’s needs and his own. He had it all figured out.

Amanda Hardy wished her knees didn’t get weak when Preston walked into a room. Amanda has harbored a crush on him for forever. When she finally makes her move on him, it does not end well. But still, she can’t resist him. Especially now that he seems to be pursuing her, too.

No one wants wants them to be together. Not Amanda’s brother Marcus, who is on the verge of his marriage to Low, and definitely not any of Preston’s buddies. They know way too much about Preston’s dark side. Even Preston realizes he’s not good enough for someone like her.

But Amanda believes there is more to Preston than his bad boy persona, and she is determined to unearth what he’s hiding behind his seductive blue eyes—secrets that could explain his actions. Secrets Amanda might not be able to forgive.

Yet the dangerous attraction persists...and neither Preston nor Amanda is going to deny it.

We met the sexy Preston Drake briefly in Breathe, saw more of him in Because Of Low, and a glimpse in While It Lasts, now the bad-boy is here to tell his tale.

No one can deny that the "Trailer Trash" is sexy, even if his momma is an addict and alcoholic and Preston can barely provide enough for his three younger siblings to eat. Preston was born with those sexy bedroom eyes and hair you just want to hang onto.

Amanda Hardy has had a crush on her big brother's best friend for forever, but she knows his reputation. She knows he has a different girl in his bed every night, even if she doesn't know who those women really are.

Preston is more than a pretty face. He's a go to fuck for all those lonely rich housewives. Something he tries to hide. But his closets friends know something's going on, after all they have known about him and his rep. for forever.

When Amanda and Preston get a little heated, and then cold, Amanda doesn't know whether to hate him or love him. She got what she wanted, but she expected more.

When Preston starts to pursue her, she doesn't know what to think. But then, neither does Preston.

I fell in love with Amanda in Breathe, she is Sadie's best friend and Preston grew on me. He might out talk Cage in the Dirty Talk Department.

I didn't fall really hard into their relationship, like I did with the previous couples, but I did fall for Preston.

After seeing that he really did care for Amanda, and seeing the hardships he had to go through, it was really touching. The softer side of Preston Drake while watching him with his kid siblings was touching. It really was.

Because he was bad-boy Preston, going to his brother's football practices and playing with his baby sister. It was like a major selling point for me. And of course the way he felt about Amanda and the way he treated her was pretty special too.

It seemed like they were always meant to be together, even after Marcus got pissed and even after some shit from Preston's past and employment threaten them. They were okay, because Abbi can write anything, and she wrote this book in an amazing way.

*Quote- "Sometimes the answer we need is in our heart. We just have to listen to it." -Amanda

"Love was honest. It was pure. I was neither of those things. So how could I love?" -Preston
