Book Talk Review; While It Lasts

 Book Three in Sea Breeze...

Cage brings his playboy prowess to the countryside as the Sea Breeze hookups continue...
Low broke Cage’s heart by getting with Marcus in Because of Low. Cage went into a tailspin that ended in a DUI. Maybe driving home after a few (or more) shots of tequila had been a bad idea, but hell, he did it all the time. The cops had to have been freaking bored to have pulled him over. He wasn’t even swerving!
In order to salvage his baseball scholarship—the one thing he truly valued besides Low—Cage must take a summer job. At a farm. Away from Sea Breeze. With lots of cows, but no hot girls. Maybe that’s what Cage needs to get back on track.

But wait—there’s that hostile daughter of the farm boss.
Eva Brooks planned out her life step by step when she was eight years old. She’s pretty and occasionally sweet, and there seems to be a lot of sadness and mystery behind her anger.

Cage is dying to strip her down—physically and mentally—in the back of the barn. But is he prepared for what will happen afterward?
This book is all about playboy Cage York, Low's best friend, and the guy who was so hell bent on marrying her, that is, until Marcus Hardy came along.
Now Cage is taking his unwanted freedom and running. When he gets pulled over for a DUI and finds himself at risk of losing everything-besides Low- that he's ever cared about, he'll do anything to convince his coach that he's on the straight and narrow.
I loved Cage in Because Of Low, his protectiveness over Low is proves that there's something more under his bad-boy swagger and dirty talk.

As you know, Breathe was more YA than anything, while Because Of Low was more border line YA/NA. But While It Lasts is where Abbi gets into the NA, sexy, dirty talk madness that she's famous for in her Rosemary Beach Series.

Eva is a hard-ass sweet girl. She's been hurt so much in the past she doesn't know if she will get over it. And then comes Cage.

With their noticeable differences  it's hard to imagine that a country girl like Eva and a playboy like Cage will ever find a way to each other. But they do, and it's a bitter sweet moment.

Cage and Eva fall in love slowly, she doesn't like him at first, her opinion is justified of course, seeing as what landed him there was a less than honorable act.

Cage just wants to see her in all her glory, nothing more, until suddenly it is.

The pain that Eva deals with slows her down, but it doesn't deter Cage once he's hooked.

I loved every second of this book, every book of Abbi's that I read reminds me again and again how much I love her writing style.

Cage is the bad-boy whom meets the sweet country girl who ends up turning his life around. Eva is the broken girl whom somehow falls completely for this sweet and sensitive man.

I fell in love with Cage York during Because Of Low, he has no filter, he says whatever dirty thing is on his mind.

Did I mention he has a nipple piercing? Holy hotness!  If that's not sexy I don't know what is.

What happens when you introduce the town bad-boy to the country girl? You get an amazing book filled with hot sexy men and steamy encounters!

*Quote- "I'd walked too close to heaven and gotten a glimpse. The hell I'd lived before her no longer appealed to me." -Cage

"I didn't want to love you but you're impossible not to love. Every perfect moment I spend in your arms draws me closer, showing me that life isn't over becuase its path takes a sudden turn." -Eva
