Book Talk Review; The Fault In Our Stars

Another amazing read by John Green

Despite the tumor-shrinking medical miracle that has bought her a few years, Hazel has never been anything but terminal, her final chapter inscribed upon diagnosis.
But when a gorgeous plot twist named Augustus Waters suddenly appears at Cancer Kid Support Group, Hazel’s story is about to be completely rewritten.

Insightful, bold, irreverent, and raw, The Fault in Our Stars is award-winning-author John Green’s most ambitious and heartbreaking work yet, brilliantly exploring the funny, thrilling, and tragic business of being alive and in love.

This book is about love and living.

I thought that Looking For Alaska was emotional and heartbreaking and just beautifully written. But no, this book. Is so much more. It has the same logical discussions, the same feeling of life and love, but it is put together in a way that is both touching and beautifully done.

Hazel Grace Lancaster, a girl who survived a miracle. But also one who is at the end of that miracle. A girl who has never been anything but terminal. Augustus Waters, the boy who is full of life and who believes in metaphors. The boy who's been in remission for a year and a half and yet fears oblivion.

John goes so much deeper into the idea of living, much like he did in Looking For Alaska but, only in this one he takes a different approach to it.

Using characters who don't know how long they are going to live makes the idea of living so much better.

Yes, the characters in this book are cancer patients. Yes, that is a tough subject to read about. But it is not what drove me to all the tears that I've shed while reading this.
The complexity of John's writing is one that everyone wants to read about. One that everyone has to grasp at. John is able to put his characters in situations that mean something, not just to them but to the readers as well.
The Fault In Our Stars is such a touching book, it makes the reader think, it makes the reader love, it makes the reader want to read on and on.
I love this book. I am in love with this book. I love Augustus and I love Hazel. I love the way they are, individually and together, I love the way they talk about things that touch you deep. I love the out look on life that John included in this book.

The Fault in our Stars is such a good book, that I cried so much during it its unreal.

The Tears I shed were ones of sadness and happiness. There are moments in this book that you are just hurt by. This is not an easy book to read, it's something that makes everything else seem not worth it.

I kind of had a feeling of what was going to happen, but I didn't know what exactly was going to happen. I didn't want anything to happen. But of course for the book to be able to end something had to have happened.

The way that the book ends, makes you think back on it and say, that is exactly how it was suppose to happen. Life happens and the end happened.

This is a book that I will remember always.

"That's the thing about pain, it demands to be felt."- Augustus
"I fell in love the way you fall asleep: slowly, and then all at once."- Hazel Grace
