Book Talk Review; Happenstance

 Alright. Time for a new Book Talk! This one is Happenstance, the latest release from The Brilliant Jamie McGuire.

 Jamie was our first  Author to ever receive an Author Feature So the Book Talks we have For Beautiful Disaster, Walking Disaster, and A Beautiful Wedding are our first Ever Books Talks, I'll have the links for them at the bottom of this post. They were conducted a little differently than the newer Book Talks, But everyone I post is different.

 Alright, lets jump into this!

 

 #1 New York Times Bestseller Jamie McGuire returns to self-publishing with this page-turning YA account of Erin Easter.  

 One of three Erins in the small senior class of rural Blackwell High School who not only share a first name, but also their birthday. Easter, raised by a neglectful single mom, keeps to herself and admires Weston Gates from afar. The other Erins, Erin "Alder" Alderman and Erin "Sonny" Masterson are the darlings of the community: daughters of the two wealthiest families in town, best friends, cheerleaders, and everything Easter isn't--and they never let her forget it. Alder has even claimed Weston since the 8th grade.

 Weston is a well-liked star athlete, and the son of two prominent attorneys. He struggles daily with the pressures of living up to his family name and secretly empathizes with Easter's feeling that she belongs somewhere else; in a different life. Not until he begins sneaking nights out with Easter does he gain the courage to buck expectations and acknowledge his feelings ... both for his future, and for her.

 A shocking tragedy rocks the tiny town, and Easter's life is turned upside down in the best way possible. But when the truth is revealed and everything she thinks she wanted falls into her lap, life only becomes more complicated.

 This is a Novella, and the start of a really good series of Novella's by one of the most fantastic authors I have ever read. 

 The Story is short and has some sweet moments with Erin and Weston, and is so full of the amazing writing that I have associated with Jamie and her Books it is amazing. 

 Jamie is self-publishing these books, back to where she started, and it is amazing, she is doing what she loves and giving us what we love. 

 So Erin and Weston start hanging out, and the Erin's aren't happy. In fact nobody is. Easter is bullied. By basically everyone. But Alder and Sonny are the worst. 

 And it breaks my heart to see someone as sweet as Easter going through that. 

 Her mother is neglectful, and nobody really cares. Expect for a teacher and Weston. Who's been in love with her for a while. But what could he do? 

 When tragedy hits the small town and everything changes though, things are looking up for Erin. 

 Some reveling things are shared, and while I had a feeling that something was coming, I didn't know how or when or anything. And I didn't expect it to go down like it did. 

 It was an amazing read. And way to short for me. I can't wait until the fall so I can devour the next one. 

 I am anxious to find out what happens next and how the characters deal with their new situations.

 Go Check out this book. It is now one of my favorites. I always think I can't love an Author more than I already do. Then they go and write a new book.
