EK Blair isn't afraid to test the boundaries. That's what attracted me to her writing in the first place. It's what keeps me coming back for more.
This duet. This duet is more than I ever expected it to be. EK Blair took out all the stops. She explored a taboo subject and made it both hard to read about, at times emotional, but beautiful in it's own way.
Kason and Adaline had the perfect connection, only as we saw in part one even the strongest connections have it's weaknesses. And sometimes it's because a connection is so strong it has to be broken.
I was on pins and needles waiting for this book. I was almost afraid of reading. As I wasn't quite sure which way I wanted this story to go, it had so much in the first book, I knew the second one was going to be difficult. I shouldn't have worried. EK Blair told a story that left me gasping so many times. Something that had me aching for these characters, in both good and bad ways.
This is a duet that is very different, very unique, and very much well done.
