Review

It never gets easier, trying to review a Kelli Jean book. Her writing is poetic, her characters are likeable and relatable, her storylines are complex. There's never one concrete thing I can talk about because it all fits together in the perfect puzzle.

Ten Thousand Truths is a story of healing. Healing from the mental and emotional scars of the part. Learning to see past the physical imperfections. Learning that love can be the thing that gives you the most hope.

Deo works for the London branch of the Locals. His job description is different than that of Ricki, Ronen, and Rex. That doesn't he can't do their job, he just doesn't need to.

Opie has been through a lot. My heart aches for the poor girl. But I saw the strength in her. I saw the light in her.

Deo and Opie are perfect for each other. They bring something out in each other. They bring the light to the surface, and in the work that they do, in the hand they were dealt, that's the important part.

My heart ached for both characters over the course of the book. I knew this book was going to hurt, I just wasn't sure how much. I knew this book wasn't going to be easy, I just didn't realize how many times my heart was going to stop.

The Ten Thousand series focuses on the mental, emotional, and physical aspects of human existence. It brings to light things we rather forget.

This series makes us remember that as humans, we're not always as good as we should be.

We didn't get a chance to get to know Deo during the first two books, he was in London while everyone else was in Amsterdam.

I am so glad that I took a chance on this series. I am so glad that I realized this story needed to be out there in the world.

The stories in this series are not easy to read, they will test you. But there is a beauty to them as well.

As hard as Deo and Opie have it, they also have it easy as well. They get to love each other. And that love is special.

I cannot wait until the next book in this series. There are untold stories, stories that I know will break and heal me at the same time. much like Ten Thousand Truths did.

Author Bio

Born and raised in Miami, Kelli Jean traded the tropical heat for the arctic. Now she deals with twenty-four-hour daylight in the summer, zero sunlight in the winter, and believes the Northern Lights make up for the mind-boggling amount of ice and snow she has to put up with for seven months out of the year. She’s surrounded by mountains and ocean and sheep, and claims her bizarre sense of humor is what keeps her sane.

The insane don’t know they’re insane.

Kelli uses her imagination to create worlds she can escape to from the mundane tasks of everyday life, such as washing the damn dishes and vacuuming up Legos off the floor—and don’t get her started on the mad amount of cat hair on the end of the couch. She gave up on that a long time ago. When the household goes to sleep at night, she writes down everything that happened in her head while doing such tedious chores. But she enjoys living in her own head, so that’s pretty cool.

Technology terrifies her. She can barely turn on a computer, and was completely shocked when she’d actually written a book on one. To this day, she has no explanation for this baffling mystery. It took her three years to realize she can take screen shots of messages and pictures of bearded, tattooed men with her phone. Now that she’s mastered this task, her phone is slowly dying, and she’s nervous that she’s going to have to buy a new one and it will take her another three years to learn how to use it.
