Excerpt
Noah’s eyes bore into mine as he says, “you’re a brave and passionate man, Rhys Manson.”
“Passionate, yes. Brave? No. Just honest.”
“Brave. I don’t know if I’d be able to do the same.”
“If you had no other choice you would.”
Something about that statement hits Noah hard. His eyes flick away and his lips press into a thin line.
“I’d pray for another choice. Everyone deserves the chance to make their own decisions.”
The air is heavy between us.
Gray eyes flick to my green before sliding down to my mouth.
I don’t know who leans first but we’re suddenly so close we’re sharing oxygen.
“Rhys,” he whispers.
“Noah,” I answer.
“This is a bad idea.”
“I know.”
And then his lips touch mine.
Softly at first, like he’s afraid I’ll reject him. Then harder. He presses his mouth firmly against mine.
Soft and warm, I savor the touch.
With a steady hand, he cups my cheek. I’m still holding onto his wrist.
I’m the one who deepens the kiss. The one with the insistent tongue, begging his lips to open for me. They do and the warm heat of his mouth is everything.

Abrianna Denae is a twenty-two-year-old author living in Northern California. An English major, she has always had a passion for writing.
Deciding to sit down and write one of the many stories that had plagued her mind for years was the easy part—finding the time to do it was a different story.
Caffeine is her best friend, and sleep is her worst enemy.
A lover of books that make the reader feel something, she tries to incorporate as much of her real-world views and feelings into her stories as she can.
