Regret. I’m a man living with regret. It eats at me night and day.

Eights years ago, I ran from Reagan instead of facing the music. I was sure he would shut me out if he knew the truth, so I beat him to the punch. I left and never looked back.
Or at least I tried not to.
To this day, Reagan is always in the back of my mind, trying to make me remember the fun we had. I always wonder what he would have thought if I’d told him everything.
The regret echoes in my head.
Now he’s standing in front of me, looking for answers I doubt he’s ready for.

Can Reagan accept me for who I really am?

Ride me is part friends to lovers part second chance. Sawyer left Reagan because he was afraid of losing what he had. Yet he lost him anyway.

Reagan never saw his best friend as anything more than his best friend, yet when they meet again he can't deny the feelings inside of him.

I've never read Rebecca Brooke before, and while Sawyer made me roll my eyes quite a few times I liked this book. Reagan was an easy man to love. So was Sawyer, even when he was being ridiculous.

I love seeing two characters find love after they believe the one for them is gone from them forever. The friends to lovers trope is always fun as you never know exactly what to expect from the friends. Like Sawyer many are afraid of ruining their friendship. But love is always a risk.

I don't know if I'll read the rest of this series, the author's writing was good, I just didn't connect with the story in ways that I like to.

Sawyer and Reagan were good together once they got on the same page. The lack of communication from Sawyer is what ruined his friendship, not the fact that he wanted more than friends. I'm glad in the end that he decided to take the chance.
