I need a drink, or ten, after reading this duet.
I didn't know what to expect from Retrieval and Transfer. This ride is one that shouldn't be taken lightly. It's two interconnected love stories woven around a single complex storyline.
I've never read Aly Martinez before, but she's on my list of need to read now.
I knew going into this that it was going to be Clare's story. Roman and Elisabeth's story was woven into it, of course, they're just as important as Clare. However, they got their love story, they found their peace, it was time for Clare to find hers.
And she does, all the pain she endured means nothing in the end.
If I thought Retrieval took me for a ride, it was nothing like Transfer. The emotions were high, the danger was real, and the end results were something I did not see coming.
It's rare a two part story can surprise me page after page, but the Retrieval duet managed to do just that. Twists and turns Aly Martinez brings us a beautiful love story. One built on pain.
This duet is the ultimate story about how hurt can make us love that much harder.

Born and raised in Savannah, Georgia, Aly Martinez is a stay-at-home mom to four crazy kids under the age of five, including a set of twins.
