On the third day of B.C. Burgess we talk about Deception which is book number three in the Mystic Series.

Now here is the Book Talk for Deception
A Magical Journey of Epic Romance
Layla
Layla Callaway has found comfort in her new role as a coven member, and she’s declared her love for the heartthrob who led her home, but as beautiful as her life appears, it’s shadowed by the evil threatening to rip it away.
Quin
After years of meaningless flings, Quin Kavanagh has finally found love in Layla and yearns to keep her close, but the strength and longevity of their relationship is tested by Finley, a powerful wizard who promises to rid Layla’s life of danger… then claim her as his reward.
The Enemy
They’ve attacked once, leaving Layla with grievous injuries, and the worst has yet to come. The Stranger has drawn closer than anyone knows. And with the disappearance of his lieutenant, Agro is on a rampage, determined to get his witch… or make her family pay.
Stretching from coast to coast and teeming with loathed villains and beloved heroes, The Mystic Series is rich with emotion, magic and intrigue. Whether the reader is laughing, crying or falling in love, they'll find themselves invested in Layla's fate through the rich dialogue and emotionally driven characters that weave the web of this fiery tale.
The Mystic Series is a planned 7 book series.
So this is the third in the series and I am going to try to have structure while I talk about this book instead of rambling like a complete idiot and gushing at everything.
Like Impassion began where Descension left off, Deception begins where Impassion leaves off.
Right from the start this book is packed with intense scenes and emotions. You can actually feel the emotions pour out of the pages (at least i can; and I mean your kindle or nook or whatever you use because most of us don't use the actual books..they just sit there on our shelves looking pretty. I least mine would if I had a set of these books) Anyways. The descriptive language and the detail put into this book is more then enough for a readers wet dream.
It is like having the story come to life...not many authors can do that in the way that Bonnie does. An author like her is few and far between.
We find out some revelations about a couple of the characters and we get a harsh watered down background on Finley and we also experience the Unforgivables.
The Unforgivables are exactly that. Unforgivable. The means at which Agro will go to to get Layla are sick and twisted and that is not even the whole story.
And of course we get to see more of Quin *Sigh* I swoon just typing his name.
I have said before that he is perfect and he is he really is. His loyalty to his family and the ones he loves are really special. His devotion to Layla and his honest demeanor is enough to make anyone fall in love with him on the spot.
Layla learns more about her new found abilities and is basking in her new home and her love for her hero...everything is perfect... except for those damn Unforgivables and now this 'Stranger'
There really isn't more I can say about this series that I haven't already except that they just keep on getting better.
The author has managed to surprise me again and again. Though in some cases it was easy to guess what was going on but now all sorts of things just keep popping up changing the rules shaping the story. Making it so that we can only grasp at straws at what the end is going to be like.
Amazing! Simply Amazing!
