Book Talk Review; Percy Jackson amd the Oplympians The Last Olympian
The fifth and Final Book in The Percy Jackson Series by Rick Riordan
All year the half-bloods have been preparing for battle against the
Titans, knowing the odds of victory are grim.
Kronos's army is stronger
than ever, and with every god and half-blood he recruits, the evil
Titan's power only grows.
While the Olympians struggle to contain the
rampaging monster Typhon, Kronos begins his advance on New York City,
where Mount Olympus stands virtually unguarded.
Now it's up to Percy
Jackson and an army of young demigods to stop the Lord of Time.
In this
momentous final book in the New York Times best-selling Percy Jackson
and the Olympians series, the long-awaited prophecy surrounding Percy's
sixteenth birthday unfolds.
And as the battle for Western civilization
rages on the streets of Manhattan, Percy faces a terrifying suspicion
that he may be fighting against his own fate.
No better way to end a heart stopping exciting and very well written series than this book right here.
Everything Percy and his friends have faced over the years all leads up to this.
This moment that can either save Western Civilization or end it.
I was entranced by this book. More so than I have been by any other Percy Jackson Book.
We watched Percy and his friends grow up, we watched them go through pain, fight monsters, try to come to terms with their Olympian Parents and prepare for the battle of their lives.
I have grown to love the characters.
The story line is so good and so captivating.
Percy gets the prophecy. The one that's haunted him since he first stepped foot in Camp Half-Blood.
And as he fights against Kronos to save those he loves his fate is put before him.
Is he meant to save those he loves, and the world around him, or is it in the cards for him to leave it all behind.
My heart stopped on more than one occasion as I read this book.
It is defiantly one I will enjoy reading over and over again.
It's not over yet Percy and his friends come together again to fight what seems like an impossible battle in The Heroes of Olympus.
