Book Talk Review; Percy Jackon and the Olympians the Lighting Thief

The first book In the Percy Jackson and The Olympians Series by Rick Riordan is The Lightning Thief

Percy Jackson is about to be kicked out of boarding school...again. And that's the least of his troubles.

Lately, mythological monsters and the gods of Mount Olympus seem to be walking straight out of the pages of Percy's Greek mythology textbook and into his life. And worse, he's angered a few of them.

Zeus's master lightning bolt has been stolen, and Percy is the prime suspect. Now Percy and his friends have just ten days to find and return Zeus's stolen property and bring peace to a warring Mount Olympus.

But to succeed on his quest, Percy will have to do more than catch the true thief: he must come to terms with the father who abandoned him; solve the riddle of the Oracle, which warns him of betrayal by a friend; and unravel a treachery more powerful than the gods themselves.

This is a great way to start off the series. I am a big Greek Mythology fan and this book is so good.

The story id great for kids and adults to fall in love with.

Percy is a normal twelve year old boy who has both ADHD and Dyslexia... And he is going to get kicked out of boarding school. Again. It's not like Percy tries to get kicked out. He really doesn't.

But now things are getting worse, for starters he almost gets killed while on a field trip by his math teacher.

Then while on Vacation he gets chased by a bull-man.

Come to find out he's a Demigod..

He mom Sally is a good mortal woman and his dad is an all powerful Olympian.

Percy goes to Camp Half-Blood to learn on how to be a Demigod.

Then he gets pulled into a quest with his best friend Grover (Who happens to be a Stayr) and this girl Annabeth.

They have ten days to find Zeus's Master Bolt and return it to him. Zeus and many of the other Gods, balme it on Percy.

They journey to find the Master Bolt is not an easy one.

Monsters and Gods try to stop Percy from finding the Bolt. Many of them try to take the Bolt from him that he doesn't have.

This book has action and adventure and magic and Greek Gods and Monsters and Dangerous Quests.

Tuesday the Book Talk For The Sea of Monsters will be up!
