Book Talk Review; Voyager
The third book in my obsession. One of the best books I have read
From the author of the breathtaking bestsellers Outlander and Dragonfly in Amber, the extraordinary saga continues.
Their passionate encounter happened long ago by whatever measurement Claire Randall took.
Two decades before, she had traveled back in time and into the arms of a gallant eighteenth-century Scot named Jamie Fraser. Then she returned to her own century to bear his child, believing him dead in the tragic battle of Culloden.
Yet his memory has never lessened its hold on her... and her body still cries out for him in her dreams.
Then Claire discovers that Jamie survived.
Torn between returning to him and staying with their daughter in her own era, Claire must choose her destiny.
And as time and space come full circle, she must find the courage to face the passion and pain awaiting her...the deadly intrigues raging in a divided Scotland... and the daring voyage into the dark unknown that can reunite—or forever doom—her timeless love.

This book. Holy shit. This book was amazing. My all time favorite Outlander scene is in this book. Which is saying something because there are so many great scenes.
The revelation at the end of book two killed me. I was so thankful that I had the third book on hand because it hurt me to read it.
This story is complex and emotional.
Claire has to think what's best for her future. She dives into the unknown, unsure of what's to come next. Twenty years she's loved Jamie, twenty years she's mourned his lost. Now she has to make one of the hardest choices of her life.
In the past we see Jamie, as he endures the aftereffects of Culloden.
Diana is a master of weaving a tale. From past to present, the story moves in a way that only an Outlander book can do.
These books are long and they can be hard to read at times. They're long, descriptive, but also beautiful.
This is the ultimate love story. In the end, that's what it comes down to, the love between Claire and Jamie.
Voyager takes the characters to new places. It tests the strength of not only their love, but their lives as well.
With new characters and a new scenery, Claire and Jamie are thrown into a place that neither of them knows the outcome of. But that's how things usually go for them.
So far this book is my favorite one in the series.
If you love time travel, adventure, and hot red-headed Scots then this series is for you.
