Title - Tied: A Crown & Anchor Novella
Author - Kerri Ann
Genre - M/M Romance Novella
Release Date - November 22, 2017
Governor Chris Rock is Carli Katana's boss—well, ex-boss. And now that she's run off with her man candy, Whiskey Crown, Chris finds himself in trouble. Without her keeping him out of the press, out of trouble and in check, he's in for a dick of a lifetime. I mean, a trip of a lifetime.
Arriving in New York for a Governor's something or other, he's finding himself in a predick-ament. As a prolific public figure and ex-Marine, there’s always been an expectation of who Chris is and should be; strong, dangerous, fearless, and the typical man’s man. But that’s not him. And as he finds himself longingly staring at the speaker, Tyler Marshall, Chris knows he’s in trouble. Tyler is gorgeous, and he's everything Chris looks for in a man. The real problem is that in this venue, Tyler's unattainable.
**This novella has characters from both the Crown and Anchor series and the standalone Rushed. It’s sexy hot and full of laughs. Pre-warning you about it won’t do you any good.
I found this novella to be hot and hilarious. The cast of characters is great. You can tell a lot of character development went into them in the previous books. Even though this is a standalone I think it's better to go back and read the other books as the connections are so tight-knit you will get a better understanding of them. At least I think so. And I wish I had done that.
Too much heartbreak has left Tyler bitter and jaded against relationships. He doesn't trust a man to stay in a committed, healthy relationship with him. And then he meets Chris.
The current governor of Indiana is a man who lives in the closet. He's also a bit of a whore.
When they run into each other at a conference things don't go smooth. Especially for Chris.
Though the two of them want to make it work they're tangled up in things they're unsure they can get past.
I loved the humor, the closeness of the characters. I think as a full novel with a little more depth, a little more exploration between the relationship between Chris and Tyler would make this book perfect.
It does have an HFN and I hope that the author decides to explore more of what Chris and Tyler can have and bring to the table. All in all I enjoyed it. It only took me a few hours of stop and go reading to enjoy it.
