One angel to bind you, one angel to save you.
Sky Heavensent, an angel of death, is charged with the collection of souls of the recently departed. Known to his peers and immediate supervisor, the archangel Gabriel, as the liability, Sky puts his heart and soul into everything he does.
When he meets Caleb Pierce, Sky is immediately smitten. The problem is Caleb is the soul he came to earth to harvest, and saving him means breaking one of the most sacred angelic directives.
Already in too deep, Sky pushes aside the consequences and follows his heart. Danger and mayhem follow, but he will do everything in his power to protect his lavender-eyed man.

This book was refreshing. It's so different than what I normally read, but I couldn't pass it up.
Sky is an angel, and angel who is tasked with collecting souls. An angel who is known to those around him as the liability. After all, it doesn't do anyone any good if an angel is clumsy. That doesn't stop him from putting his whole heart into his job.
When Sky meets Caleb, he falls hard in love. His feelings run deep and hard, even for an angel. When they meet they both feel a connection like no other, until Sky is faced with a devastating revelation.
I loved these characters. I found Sky funny, lovable, and very endearing. He has a big heart, even when other didn't understand him, or thought he was a nuisance, he was a consistent character, true to himself.
Caleb, once you learn his story, you start to fall for him just as hard as Sky did. No spoilers, but Caleb is more than just a pretty face and mismatched eyes. He has a good heart, a good soul, something Sky recognized right away.
The action, the mystery, the suspense, it kept me glued to my kindle late into the night, as I had to find out what was the heck was going on.
Natalina Reis wrote a fun, suspenseful story built with love, and with twists to the ideas of what angels do. The writing was strong and I loved the way the book was organized, you don't see that type of formatting. The organization makes for a more interesting read read.
Lavender Fields is a story that will capture you from start to end.
