Synopsis
I've always followed my dreams with ruthless determination.
My life was going well. Success was at my fingertips.
Until it wasn't.
All it took was three seconds to send my world crashing down around me, ripping my dreams to shreds.
Then I meet her, with her large hazel eyes that slay me at first glance.
And everything starts to make sense again.
I try to keep my distance.
To remind myself I am her mentor.
That we can't be more,
but every time I push away, I'm pulled deeper into her.
The line between student and teacher is blurring.
One kiss.
One taste.
They’re all it would take to cross the line.

Review
I don't know what I can say about Breaking Gravity except that I love it. Seriously loved it.
Autumn Grey became a blimp on my radar with Fall Back Skyward. That book was so good, and I knew that Breaking Gravity was going to hit all the marks. Plus Student/Teacher is one of my favorite tropes. I was so looking forward to this book and I was not disappointed.
I don't know how Ms. Grey does it. She was able to not only create a masterpiece of a book with Breaking Gravity, introduce a new cast of characters, but she was also able to tie it all back to her original book. Which takes dedication and careful timeline plotting. In the end it worked out perfectly because all the characters were where they needed to be. And that, is always one of the most important parts of a book.
Nathaniel and Elon were two characters who came from hard pasts. Pasts that changed them and made them into the people we loved. Personally I loved Nathaniel right off the bat, there was something about his wounded, yet healing soul that called to me. He was the character who let his hurt consume him, making him someone you just wanted to love. He didn't deserve what had been handed to him, but he was open to moving on with some aspects of his life, and that was admirable.
Elon. Oh sweet, sexy, hardened Elon. She also went through a lot in her past. And that just broke my heart. I knew of course, having read book one, but that didn't make it any easier. I still felt for her.
When the two of them find each other, they find what they've been missing all along. They find that one person who is able to give them the strength they need, the love they crave, and the missing pieces of their torn souls. That, is what romance is all about. That is what I crave when I open a romance book. And I am so glad that is what I got.
Autumn Grey delivered a book that will touch some part of you, if you let it.
And I suggest that you let it.
