Book Talk Review; Low

It's been awhile since I've done a Book Talk just for fun. So here it is. My review about bank robbers. 

It’s hard living on the wrong side of the tracks.

I didn't know what to expect when I opened Low. This is only the second book by Mary Elizabeth that I've read, but I know it won't be the last. 

I knew that Low and Poesy were going to be different from any other couple I read about. I just didn't know how different. 

I was intrigued because you don't get any true criminals in romance. You don't get a couple who essentially are a modern day Bonnie and Clyde.  

Low is more than some kid from a bad neighborhood. He's caring. He cares, even if it's only for his girl.

Poesy isn't the girl she was raised to be. And that's okay. She was meant to love Low. 

Due to circumstance Low and Poesy are sort of forced to make decisions they wouldn't make. 

And they end up liking it. They end up enjoying being criminals. It's almost as if Low and Poesy were born to do the things that they do. 

Low takes us through the life and love of Low and Poesy. This book shows two people who mean anything to each other, who will do anything to keep the other.

Maybe it's immoral to love a book about two criminals, but when you read the book you understand their hearts. You understand that just because they do things that are illegal doesn't mean they are bad people. Yes Low and Poesy make some decisions that I don't agree with. But there wouldn't be a story if they didn't. 

The ending was unexpected. I understood the need for it. There was no possible way it could have ended. And I applaud Mary Elizabeth for taking the risk. I just didn't expect to feel so empty. I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad one. I just know I will definitely be reading Poesy, just to get a little Low and Poesy fix.  

You can't hide who you are. This book shows what it's like to love and live on the wrong side of the law.
