I was warned about Tristan Cole.
“Stay away from him,” people said.
“He’s cruel.”
“He’s cold.”
“He’s damaged.”
It’s easy to judge a man because of his past.
To look at Tristan and see a monster.
But I couldn’t do that.
I had to accept the wreckage that lived inside of him because it also lived inside of me.
We were both empty.
We were both looking for something else.
Something more.
We both wanted to put together the shattered pieces of our yesterdays.
Then perhaps we could finally remember how to breathe.
Oh. My. God.
This book is so full of emotion, this book is so full of healing, this book is so full of love.
I have read two previous Brittainy C. Cherry books, I loved them both, but I think that this one might take the top spot as my favorite one.
Elizabeth and Tristan are two broken people. They are two loving people. They are two people who need healing. They are two people who come together when they need it the most.
I'm not going to go into detail with this book. I just can't there is so much that needs to be experienced.
I cried while reading this book, this book starts off emotional and stays that way. I figured I was going to cry, but this was way more emotions than I expected.
I haven't had a good ugly cry in a while and I figured it was time when I read this book. I was right, as much as this book made my heart race and my eyes leak it felt good to have that deep connection with a book.
And did my heart race. This is not a YA novel. This is pure NA and this book is full of fun sexy times.
If you're looking for a book full of emotion both good and sometimes bad, then I recommend this book. Brittainy has a way with words, she knows how to make your heart race, with anxiousness, with excitement, with emotion.
*Quote- "No soulmate leaves the world alone; they always take a piece of their other half along with them."
"The hardest part about losing someone you love is the fact that you also lose yourself." -Elizabeth
"We were living in our own worlds of little memories, and even though we were both separate, somehow we managed to feel for one another. Lonely often recognized lonely. And today, for the first time, I began to see the man behind the beard." -Elizabeth
"How did two people so broken find each other's shattered pieces?" -Tristan
